Looking Forward To This Week

Good Morning,

I am looking forward to my week off from school/work and hope I get a little art work done. I was hoping to open my Etsy shop this week, but I am still not ready, so in time I will have one open and than I trust you tell me what you think.

I added a link on the right side for donations for Japan. I am sure there are tons out there, but believe that any little bit will help them in such hard times. My heart breaks for them when I see the pictures or even just thinking about what they have gone through. I also know that could be us/me at any given time, since I live in Southern California. So I will continue to keep them in my thoughts and hope that they are not forgotten.

5. Unlike most people I read about; I love starting out with a nice white blank canvas of watercolor paper to paint/collage on. That gives me a perfect palette to create anything that comes to mind in any color and any medium.

6. I love Sunflowers and I love to draw them. They make me think of a beautiful country side filled with sunflowers as far as you can see.

7. I still love to watch Disney movies; I even keep a couple on my phone all the time for those few precious moments of down time.

Thursday................... Almost:-/

Welcome Bloggers!

I cannot believe that it is going to be Thursday already. This is the second week that I have not had a chance to post as often as I would like too. I know how much I enjoy going to blogs and seeing what they are doing during the week, so I will try and get better at this. I think I am going to give up the on-line Strathmore class. One of our assignments was to make pockets in the back of our journal.

I just used scrapbook paper to reinforce the pages and put additional paper around the edges, but really love this paper, so it will come in handy.

I am working on a new assignment with my students and it seems like it is taking up much of my time. I enjoy Graphic Design so there are times that I forget that it is work and continue to work on things even when I am home. I so enjoy passing my knowledge onto my students and I just love it when they enjoy the projects.

I am thinking that if I would do less searching for the perfect chair and pillows I would get more work done. I found this and think it is beautiful. I already have a "Chair and a half" from Pottery Barn, but this one seems so much more inviting. What do you think????

Looking forward to the weekend. I have so many projects that I am working on and I really need to get a few finished up so I can give them to my friends. I will post pictures after I am done so you can tell me what you think.
